Cervical Cancer Symptoms

Cervical Cancer

In its early stages, cervical cancer usually does not cause any obvious symptoms. However, as the cancer grows and spreads, it may lead to a range of signs and symptoms, which may include:

● Abnormal vaginal bleeding: This may occur during menstruation, after sexual intercourse, or after menopause.

● Unusual vaginal discharge: The discharge may be watery, thick, or foul-smelling.

● Pain during sexual intercourse: This can result from tumor pressure on the cervix or surrounding tissues.

● Pelvic pain: Pain may occur in the lower abdomen or back.

● Painful urination: This may indicate that the tumor has spread to nearby tissues.

● Swelling of one or both legs: This may occur if the cancer has spread to lymph nodes or other organs.

It is important to note that these symptoms may sometimes be caused by conditions other than cervical cancer. However, if these symptoms persist for more than a few weeks, you should see a doctor immediately. If cervical cancer is detected early, the chances of a cure are much higher.
